Your career feels different. The direction isn’t as clear. And you’re stuck between staying where you are or making a change that feels uncertain.

At this point, it’s not just about making a different decision. It’s about understanding what actually fits you now, and trusting yourself enough to move toward it.

There’s a Reason This Feels So Hard to Sort Through

When you’ve spent years prioritizing responsibility, it’s not always easy to hear your own voice clearly.

You may be:

    • Used to pushing through instead of pausing
    • Making decisions based on what’s expected, not what fits
    • Carrying pressure without a place to process it
    • Unsure how to move forward without disrupting everything

What if you could pause long enough to actually understand what’s going on?

Hi! I’m Stephanie Henderson

As a counselor in training, I work with individuals who are navigating anxiety, burnout, shifts in identity or moving through a major life transition.  Many of the people I work with are used to being dependable and capable, but are starting to feel disconnected from themselves and unsure what comes next.

In our work together focuses on helping you step out of autopilot, understand what’s driving the pressure, and make thoughtful decisions that align with your values, energy, and next stage of life.

My Approach to Therapy for Burnout, Stress, and Anxiety

My approach is steady, reflective, and grounded in understanding before action.

We focus on slowing things down enough to see clearly what’s been driving your decisions, your stress, and your sense of disconnection.

In our work together, you’ll:

      • Recognize patterns of over-responsibility and pressure
      • Understand what’s contributing to burnout and fatigue
      • Reconnect with your values, limits, and priorities
      • Build clarity and self-trust before making major decisions

This isn’t about pushing you toward change.
It’s about helping you make changes that actually hold.

There’s Nothing Wrong With You for Wanting More

Most professionals don’t pause until something feels off.

You’ve likely spent years being responsible, making smart decisions, and doing what made sense at the time. That doesn’t mean it still fits now.

Therapy gives you a space to slow down and reassess without pressure.

To figure out what still works, what doesn’t, and what you actually want moving forward.

Clarity doesn’t come from rushing decisions. It comes from understanding what actually fits.

If you’re ready to approach your next chapter with more intention and direction, this is a place to start.

FAQs About Sliding Scale Therapy With An Intern

Here you’ll find answers to some of the most common questions about our therapy services. If you have any other questions, feel free to reach out to us directly.

Will I meet with the same intern for each session?

Yes. We believe that the relationship between you and your therapist is an important factor in your progress. Your comfort with the intern will allow you to focus on yourself while obtaining the skills you need to thrive.

How often will I attend sessions?

We cannot guarantee a specific time frame for services since the therapeutic process is tailored to each individual. We do ask that you commit to 6-8 consecutive sessions before realistically evaluating the effectiveness of therapy. You and your therapist will collaborate to determine what frequency of sessions is most appropriate to reach your goals.

What happens at the end of internship?

Interns contract with the program for a minimum of one year of service. Once that contract is complete, the student may leave the practice. At that time, you will be offered services with another therapist if you wish to continue. Schedule permitting, that therapist may be the supervisor of the intern such that you may have a smooth transition between therapists. We can also provide referrals to therapists outside the practice if necessary.

Interns will not accept new clients if less than two months are remaining in their internship.

What is the cost of sliding scale therapy sessions?

Interns offer sliding scale rates of $50 – $100 per session for individuals and $70 – $150 for couples. These reduced fee sessions are an excellent choice if your circumstances require low-cost therapy services.
