Therapy for Young Adults and Couples

We live in a society that constantly tries to define who we are. You are sometimes labeled before you can speak. It gets confusing to navigate who you are amidst people telling you who you should be. However, I understand how hard it can be to confidently be yourself in an environment that already applauds you for the role you play.

Instead of hiding behind the mask, I welcome you to explore who you really are in therapy.

How Does Therapy Help

Therapy works to help you accept and learn to love yourself for who you are rather than what society expects you to be. So you can know and live in your truth. Our sessions will give you the tools to hold boundaries and process emotions. I desire to create a space where you don’t feel as though you have to play a role, whether that be the role of a parent, a significant other, or the perfect friend. Instead, I provide a place for you to feel everything freely and receive the support you need.

Therapy for Young Adults

You feel like you’re constantly navigating a maze of challenges, from trying to figure out who you are to wrestling with the pressure to have it all figured out. It’s frustrating! Navigating so many changes with anxiety and self-doubt often making surprise appearances just when you think you’ve got it all together. Transitioning from adolescence to young adulthood can be both exhilarating and overwhelming, especially as you become more independent, facing newfound freedoms and responsibilities.

As you transition, Feeling like you're lost in a maze of emotions is totally normal, and my goal is help you talk it through.

In therapy with young adults, the focus often centers on navigating the complexities of transition. Together we’ll explore questions of identity, values, and personal goals, while also managing the myriad of transitions that come with growing up, such as starting college or embarking on a new career path. Additionally, therapy provides a safe space for clients to navigate relationships, develop healthy coping mechanisms, and build practical life skills essential for independence.

Through this collaborative process, young adults gain insight, resilience, and the tools needed to navigate the challenges and opportunities of adulthood with confidence and clarity.

Therapy is for Couples Too

You sometimes wish your partner would just get you and understand your needs like the back of their hand. However, the reality is that we must verbally communicate our needs regardless of how close or connected we are. You become unhappy and confused when your needs are not met in the relationship. That's where therapy comes in.

In therapy, couples identify what each individual needs are in the relationship and increase their ability to communicate those needs to one another. While at the same time helping couples to see the perspective of both parties in the relationship. I guide couples to understand their partner's needs and learn how to accept and express their emotions. I help couples understand and accept their significant other for who they are.
