Not Accepting New Supervisees until Summer 2025
Clinical Supervision is provided to professionals who are working towards professional licensure. Supervisees are license eligible or currently hold an APC license in the state of Georgia. All supervision provided by Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor (CPCS) and Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS).
Clinical supervision is about growth. Personal and Professional Growth. Clinical supervision involves the evaluation of clinical skills and professional development growth through discussion of the ethical, cultural, and emotional implications of current and hypothetical clients. Emphasis is placed on evaluation of workplace stressors, individual differences and theoretical orientations while exploring how each of these characteristics show up in therapy sessions. Aside from mental health concerns, many clients present for therapy services to address family of origin issues, unrealized personal deficits, and due to dealing with life transitions and associated challenges. Ongoing feedback will be provided to the supervisee with a one to one annual review of goals and progress occurring each September. LPC candidates who are within 6 months of licensure may also explore the characteristics of building a solo private practice. Supervision services provided by Rayvene Whatley, LPC.

Of course clinical supervision is a requirement to obtain your professional license. However it is so much more. Supervision is your space to hone your skills, to feel free to experiment with and develop your clinical style. It is a safe space to navigate the "how tos" of professional counseling or social work. Supervision is also your introduction to clinical consultation, an experience that will continue throughout your professional career.
Through clinical supervision you learn to:
- Foster different perspectives
- Share and receive support outside of your work environment
- Ask those questions lingering questions
- How to respond when "your stuff" comes up with a client
Utilize supervision to become the Professional Counselor you always desired to be.
